1) Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

3) Romans 10:9-10 - For if you confess with your mouth tha Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

5) Romans 12:2 - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what GOd wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

Follow-Up For New Believers ( should do this when someone you know accepts Christ)
1) Follow up with your new Christian friend by getting together regularly.  Get together within the next 48 hours after your friends has accepted Christ, and at least once a week for the next six weeks. (Matthew 28:20)
2) Reinforce what Christ has done in your friend's life. Do this with your friend by looking at scriptures that affirm GOd's commitment to Christians. (John 14:20; Hebrews 13:5; Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 5:13; Galatians 5:25)
3) Involve your friend in a Bible-teaching church. Take your friend with you to your church and help answer any of his or her questions. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
4) Exhibit Christ in your life through your actions and words.  You don't have to be exactly perfect, but just be someone who want to follow and please God. (Colossians 3:17)

6) Do things together. Spending time together will give you opportunities to encourage your friend and put faith into practice. (Acts 14:21-22)
7) Stand by your friend in both the good and bad times.  Your friend will fall down spiritually. Get prepared to help him or her back up so they can go again. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

It's Guaranteed Assurance
Everyone knows what it's like to not feel totally accepted by others. Did you know that when you became a Christian, God adopted you into his family and accepted you unconditionally?

Make it practical: Hebrews 1:1-3 or Mark 9-10.

New Life in     Christ
OK, now that you're a new Christian, what's next? Well, the best relationships are those that grow and deepen. It is the exact same way with your relationship with Jesus Christ. It is time to grow.

Talk to God: "Lord, help me to let my roots sink down into you. Thanks for helping me to grow. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: Colossians 2:6-7. Memorize the first part of verse 7.

Make it practical: Colossians 2:6-7 or 2 Peter 1:5-8.

Express your thoughts: Think of one way that you'd like to grow spiritually, tell one friend about it, and write it down in your journal. Then ask God to help you do what you-ve decided to do.

Time to Talk
You know how good friends love to talk with one another. God, our heavenly Father, is ready to have a heart-to-heart talk with you all the time. Conversation with God is VERY IMPORTANT!

Talk to God: "God, I'm so glad we that we are able to talk anytime during the day or at night. Thank you that you'll listen to all of my needs. Help me to learn to listen to what you have to say. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: Philippians 4:6-7. Memorize verse 6.

Make it Practical: 1 Kings 3:3-14 or Ecclesiastes 5:1-7.

Express your thoughts: Commit yourself to spending a minimum of 3 minutes a day in prayer. In your journal keeps  prayer log with prayer request and answers. Tell God thanks for those answers.

Dig In
When you get something new, you often receive an instruction manual.  With you new life in Christ, you need God's instruction manual, the Bible. God communicates to you and me through his word.

Talk to God: "Dear God, thank you for showing me what you're like through your Word. Help me to read it, study it, and obey it. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: 2 Timothy 3:14-17. Memorize verse 16.

Make it practical: John 20:31 or Isaiah 41:10.

Express your thoughts: Commit yourself to spending a minimum of five minutes a day reading the Bible. As a result of something you read, write down in your journal something you will do. Ask God to help you.

Jesus Did It All
Friendships get more and more stronger as you get to know the other person better. You have trusted Christ to be your Lord and Savior and to give you a new life. So really get to know who he is and what he had done! It's incredible!

Talk to God: "Jesus, you are so powerful! I'm thankful that you hold everything together,including me! Amen."

Investigate God's Word: COlossians 1:15-23. Memorize verse 17.
Make it practical: Judges 17:6.

Express your thoughts: Ask one of your Christian friends to tell you what he or she really likes about Jesus. In your journal, write a note to Jesus about what you really appreciate about him.

A strong foundation is essential for a house to stand strong. Jesus wants you to realize that obeying God will give your life a strong and solid foundation.

Talk to God: "Dear God, you know what is best for me. Help me to be strong and obey you in every are of my life. Amen."

Make it practical: Joshua 24:14-15 or Ephesians 6:1-3.

Express your thoughts: In your journal, list one area of your life where you are obeying God and one area where you aren't. Say thanks to God for helping you to want to obey.

You Have
Insight
There isn't anyone in this world who knows you better than yourself. There is nobody who knows God like God's Spirit knows God. As a new Christian, you have been given God's Holy Spirit. The Hoyl Spirit will give you insight to what God is like and what God wants you to do.

Talk to God: " Thank you, God, for giving me your Spirit. You know me so well, and I will trust your Spirit to help me know more about you. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: 1 Corinthians 2:9-16. Memorize verse 12.

Make it practical: Romans 7:15- 8:2 or Isaiah 7:9.

Express your thoughts: In your journal, write down a question that you would the Hoy Spirit to help you with. Now just sit still for a few minutes and listen to God. Tell him thanks.

Don't Give In
The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 that Satan is like a lion that wants to rip and destroy us. Satan will tempt you to disobey God, but God will show you the way out!

Talk to God: "Dear God, you know the temptations that i struggle with. Thank you that you have promised me a way to escape them. Amen."
Investigate God's Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13. Memorize this verse.

Make it practical: Matthew 18:7-9 or 1 Peter 3:15.

Express your thoughts: List three temptations that you really struggle with. Now thank God ahead of time that he will show you how to not give in the next time.

I'm Sorry
Even though you are a child in God's family, you will still mess up. Although you have messed up, God's love for you is so great that he will forgive you! He does this because he loves you!

Talk to God: "Dear God, I confess to you my sin of ______. I admit that it was wrong. Thank you that Jesus died on the cross to forgive me for this sin. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: 1 John 1:8-10. memorize verse 9.

Make it practical: James 4:17 or Lamentations 3:22-23.

Express your thoughts: Write down in your journal ways that you have disobeyed God recently. Look at each one and confess it through prayer. Cross out each sin after you have prayed about it. Let this remind  you of God's loving forgiveness. Be sure to thank him!

Worship Him
Christians are part of the body of Christ, which is called his church. Be sure that you get together with other believers, members of the "body" as often as you can. It's an opportunity to love God and each other.

Talk to God: "Dear God, thank you for your body of believer, the church. Teach me how to get involved with other Christians and really worship you. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: Hebrews 10:22-25. Memorize verse 25.

Make it practical: Hebrews 10:24-25 or James 1.

Express your thoughts: Go with some Christians friends or family to church this week. List in your journal two ways you worshiped God.

I Gotta Tell
You Something
If you have a close friend, you can't keep yourself from talking about that person. When you love someone, you can hardly contain yourself! Let your love for Christ motivate you to tell others about him.

Talk to God: "Lord, you have changed my life. Give me the courage and opportunities to tell others about you. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: Romans 1:16-17. Memorize verse 16.

Make it practical: Luke 22:54-62 or Acts 4:13.

Express your thoughts: Write down the name of one person who needs to know Jesus Christ. Start praying for that person to become a Christian. Ask a Christian friend to pray with you for the person and to help you learn how to share your faith with him or her.

To fight a battle you need powerful equipment. The Holy Spirit will use the power of God's Word like a sword to defeat Satan. So a great strategy is to memorize Scripture! What verses have you already learned?

You have been a Christian for a short time now, and you are learning that you have a lifelong relationship with Christ. So what's your long-range plan? Becoming like Christ is the ultimate goal.

Talk to God: "Dear Jesus, more than anything else i want to become more like you. Thanks that you'll be patient and help me. Amen."

Investigate God's Word: Colossians 3:10-11. Memorize verse 10.

Make it practical: Jeremiah 29:11-13 or Micah 4:6-13

Express your thoughts: Make a list of at least 5 ways you want to become more like Jesus. Spend time asking God to help you. Remind yourself to read this part of your journal in one month to check on your spiritual growth.
